DIY Tee [domo-Kun]

As a gift for my friend who loves Domo-kun, I decided to do a Domo-kun Tee-shirt for her.

I am running out of black fabric paint, but I thought it would be fine if it is just simple lines and etc. I had wanted to write words on it too, but at the end of the work, it all ended without enough paint for words.... hahaha =..=

Anyway, it is not a very good work since I did not plan the design with chalk beforehand. I just plug straight into painting with the paint as usual. Here is how it looks on the ironing board.

I am too lazy to take other photos other than when it is lying on some surface, so we end up with this photo :P Domo-kun is pretty easy to draw ne~ When I make a DIY tee for myself, I wonder what I shall draw... I was thinking of Totoro-chan.

By the way, the Haze had been disasterous for us all, but it is over now. I hope everyone survives the haze well.

Sushi Etiquette

Something that i chance upon while searching the internet for awesome sushi places! Sigh. I am guilty for most of it. I for one dip the rice into soy sauce and like to alternate bites between sushi to maximine savouring experience. oh well..

Tea after work

Sometime ago (a really some time ago), I decided we should try to break into the couple tees' world. So we bought some plain black tees and I set to work on painting them. To ensure that the colour stays, I ironed them after that and proceed to wash them.

After that, I showed them to SuAnn, who did not seem to like them a lot. And I wonder if we could sell them. I don't even know how to market them! Still, because I had done it, we might as well showcase it.... not that it is much of a showcase. Here are the pictures I had worked on this morning.

the female version

the male version

And I could not resist having tea after the photoshoot.... well, technically, I am having tea WHILE taking pictures. Because I did not consume anything at all before arranging the setting for the photos, this is my breakfast, in fact. And it is a much-needed breakfast. I have no idea why having tea is always in-syned with being me... of course, having tea with clothes hanging around is something from the scene of Howl's moving castle, but I have been tea-deprived recently. And this is caramel tea given to me by my friend... the one and only packet I have in my possession. So that means I have to drink it no matter what. But I do not like it a lot... =..=\\\

Oh well... how shall we sell this set of couple tee? ? ? ? ?

I have no idea....

your name is my facebook password.

and more!

That’s just one of a line from one of the entries on this absolutely cute, sometimes heart-warming, and at times heart-breaking blog, Letters to Crushes.

It is a collection of different peoples’ thoughts about their crush that they never dared say!

Couldn’t resist sharing this! It’s a great read, at times quite sombre when you hit the more mature “crushers” writing about their crush. . I’m on page 10 now.

nah. im not that into love but still, its fun to read those thoughts:)

My first and last respects

I am sure that every Singaporean knows about the passing away of Mrs. Lee. Well, maybe not everyone. Babies should not know. At the call of my friend, we went to the funeral at the Istana "to pay our last respects" to Mrs. Lee as my friend had put it. It was the last day of the funeral that we went, but there are still so many people. It was also my first visit to Istana. It is a beautiful place, and the atmosphere was just right to send someone off. Yes, a beautiful place to send someone off on the last time.

When I say about Mrs. Lee, I actually do not know her at all. All I know is that she is the wife of Mr. Lee and mother of Mr. Lee, and that is all. So I have no idea what to think at all. I did not plan to see the funeral. I only went because I thought I wanted to see it at my friend's invite. So this is in fact, not only my last, but also my first respects to her.

While I was waiting for my friend, I saw an article in the newspaper about how it is our loss with her death. People may not think it the same way as I do, but I do not think it is a loss. I think that with a person's life comes a great deal of journey and time to waste away, in which we shall do the things we desire to do. Be it great accomplishments or little things, these are the things we do. After that, we pass on, and people move on. From there on, we can and should rely on the next generation to bring things to another step of the ladder. Because the job of the previous generation is complete, just like those of the generations before this. If this world will only be ok with a bunch of intelligent people who are willing to work their hearts and souls out for others, then we are really pathetic. No, I would rather believe that the next generation is capable of great things as well.

So, do not say it is a lost. Let's say, "thank you for being with us; you are a treasure." Yes, rather than a lost, I would rather think of her existance as a treasure, even after her passing on. Because what is gone will never come back, but what those who had gone leaves with us will forever be treasured within our hearts, no matter what.

oh my helathy lifestyle!

Okay it was just a week ago that I wanted to lead a healthy lifestyle. And I failed miserably.

Day1 (thurs): okay no food containing nitrates. Slept at 12am sharp! Good job!

Day 2 (fri): went out with friends till late at night(4+am) cuz we wanted to chillax since it is the end of a busy week for us. The beginning of a failed attempt…

Day 3 (Sat): woke up in the afternoon to find out that its already past 2pm. And I didn’t hear my alarm at all. Im getting more amazed by myself. Cuz I was so lazy to cook a quick lunch for myself, I decided to go for the convenient way out- microwave hotdogs and processed food. Still, it was not that filling enough hence I decided to open my packets of chips.

Day 4 (Sun): woke up late in the afternoon again. Well, went out with my friends and ate buffet at seoul gardens. We spent ard 5 hours inside there so you can imagine the amount of food that we actually stuffed into out small stomach. And its definitely not good for out body!! Ohwell, we have to maximize the sum the money that we pay to them right.

Went home at 2+am. Sleep late AGAIN.

Day 5( Mon): late for school! Hence have to fix a quick breakfast for myself and ofcourse the best choice – hotdogs. Lol talk abt hotdog being the num 1 liver damaging food but why is it so irresitable?!?!

Alright. If you happen to read this, please do not follow my example! We must be healthy or we will bear the consequences of all these when we get older and you wouldn’t want that!

Blog Action Day 2010

A few days ago, I received an email stating that the topic for this year's Blog Action Day had been set. The votes had been counted, and the topic is something that appeared in most people's vote for this year. In other words, this year's Blog Action Day's topic is a topic that is high on everyone's mind.

By now, you should be wondering what is Blog Action Day. Blog Action Day is bascially a day where the bloggers in the world had encouraged to blog about a single topic in their blogs to create awareness. The thought is simple: Get people talking, and that will in turn get people thinking. Hopefully, these thoughts encourage real time action, and bit by bit, hand by hand, we try to create a better future for our friends, families, fellow humans and descendents.

The topic is set beforehand, and bloggers have to register their blog as well. It is something I took part in personally every year for a few years already. I remembered writing blog entries about various environmental issues, including the hot topic of greenhouse effect. Yes, Global Warming. After my first year of participation, I am glad to be invited to vote for the next year's topic, and etc and etc. Even though I have no idea if this blog will be participating in Blog Action Day, I am sure that I will continue to participate in Blog Action Day personally.

This year's topic is Water. If anyone is interested, please register your blog and jot down the date October 15th in your calendar, because that is the date for Blog Action Day. I am very excited about it, and I had already prepared a post for the day itself.

The link is here: http://blogactionday.change.org/register

For those who shall participate in the day, LoggerHeads is with you ^______^ Let us create a better future for everyone to live in!
